Registration for Lattelecom Riga Marathon 2017 opens 13 September!
Lattelecom Riga Marathon opens the registration for the 2017 race on 13 September with a special festive event – "Commitment Day" at the Freedom Monument. All runners and active lifestyle adherents are welcome to take a symbolic photo at the Freedom Monument with the 2017 dream distance. Additionally, everyone who will register at the marathon at opening day and visit us at the "Commitment Day” will have the opportunity to choose their own race number.
Registration for next year's race traditionally begins 8 months before the run, giving participants enough time to properly prepare for the race in May. In 2017 we will have all four traditional races – the 42,195km marathon and the half-marathon, 10km and 6km distances, as well as the 3,6km long Family Run and short courses dedicated to the little ones at "Rimi Kids’ Day". It is expected that in 2017 the only race in Northern Europe to receive the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) Road Race Bronze Label will host at least 3,000 foreigners from nearly 70 countries.
"Commitment Day" at the Freedom Monument will take place on 13 September from 8:00 am to 20:00 pm.
Throughout the day it will be possible to take a professional photo to remind you of the 2017 marathon commitment. All photos will be available for download at the file storage and sharing platform eDati and the official Lattlecom Riga Marathon Facebook page. At eDati the pictures will be available here: www.edati.lv/lv/lattelecomrigasmaratons
